ust when we think we’ve exhausted every way possible to kill zombies PopCap Games comes along and proves us all wrong. Plants vs. Zombies is the latest game to be released by PopCap and is currently available through PopCap’s site for $19.99 or through Steam for $9.99. The goal is to simply keep zombies from making it inside your house by planting different plants in their way to stop them. It sounds simple enough and it is, but there is so much to do in this game. With a pretty lengthy adventure mode, puzzles, minigames, survival mode and a zen garden Plants vs. Zombies is an easy to recommend purchase for tower defense or RTS fans as well as being a solid introduction to both genres.

Plants vs. Zombies (PvZ) is set up in an easy to learn way for the first few levels. The playing field usually has nine squares across and five squares down. You can place plants on any of these squares though it’s recommended you start from the left and gradually move to the right. You start off with a peashooter plant and a sunflower and will soon amass a variety of different plants. Sunflowers act as the currency delivery system in PvZ. Every so often a little sun icon will burst out of the sunflower and you have to click on it in order to add 25 points of “Sun” to your inventory. The more sunflowers you have, the more Sun you will accumulate. You then use these points to pick different plants to place on the field. There is no limit on how much Sun you can accumulate but there is a limit on how many plant types you can bring into battle.

PvZ is always bringing new surprises into the mix. At first it just seems like you complete a stage and receive a new plant that will be helpful for the next stage. When you least expect it the game throws in a currency system that adds on to replay value. As the levels go on you eventually meet Crazy Dave who will sell you useful items such as additional plants, extra lines of defense such as lawnmowers and pool cleaners and extra space in your inventory to bring more plants to each level. He will also sell you items that help you to maximize your zen garden’s potential. Those plants can also be sold for even more money.

It was hard not to be completely impressed when the first images and videos of Crysis appeared about 18 months ago. Scenes of lush jungles and towering alien war machines looked light-years beyond what seemed possible. Of course, the two questions that revolved around Crysis since its announcement were whether it would deliver on those visuals and whether it would deliver a game worthy of those fancy graphics. It turns out that the answer to both those questions is a resounding yes, as Germany's Crytek has proven that its 2004 hit Far Cry was no fluke. In fact, it was just the beginning from this studio. With its sophomore effort, Crytek has managed to deliver an incredibly advanced and exciting first-person shooter that practically rewrites the rules for the entire genre.

Enhanced Edition, compared with 1.12 patch introduces more than 1200 (!) Changes that the patch 1.70, without changes of 1.6, introduces a change 800. As you can see, the changes are far from cosmetic and calm after hitting the head of all previous official patches.

New levels of difficulty, as amended by the graphics, improved AI, reduced hardware requirements (przycinki still exist, but are in contrast to Gothic 3, you will no longer rare), and new content will certainly erase bad memories and allow - us to re-move game. So at least my mother said ...

... Damn. I wish you all a good team creates the patch, because the hope that they can really achieve the effect of allowing a normal, human game.

It took awhile, but Infinity Ward finally got the message that World War II is played out. With modern times and international affairs becoming more and more, shall we say, interesting in recent years, the 1940s just don't carry as much weight as they used to. Perhaps that's why Call of Duty 4 has a new subtitle, Modern Warfare. By bringing things into a fictionalized story that still seems fairly plausible, the developer has made a much heavier game. But COD 4 is more than just an updated setting. It's also an amazing multiplayer first-person shooter and a great but brief single-player campaign with the visual chops to make it a standout shooter in an era filled with seemingly dozens of standout shooters.

While the game may feel short, it covers a lot of ground.

The only real catch is that the single-player is almost shockingly short. If you've been keeping up with this style of game, you'll probably shoot your way to the credits in under five hours. While you can raise the difficulty to give yourself more of a challenge, the main thing this does is make the enemies frustratingly deadly, which sort of detracts from the fun.

While it may have a lack of single-player quantity, it makes up for most of it with its quality. The game tells its story from multiple perspectives, and you'll play as a new British SAS operative as well as a US Marine. The campaign takes you from a rainy night out at sea on a boat that's in the process of sinking to a missile silo where it's on you to save millions from an unsavory nuclear-powered death. Along the way, there are plenty of jaw-dropping moments where you'll look around the room for someone to whom you can say, "I can't believe that just happened." In a world filled with war games in which the good guys come out unscathed and the world is left at total peace, Call of Duty 4 will wake you up like a face full of ice water.

The action in the campaign is usually very straightforward. You have a compass at the bottom of your screen, and the direction of your current objective is very plainly marked. But getting from point A to point B is never as simple as running in a straight line, as you'll be conducting full-scale assaults in Middle Eastern countries by moving from house to house, taking out what seems like a never-ending stream of enemy troops along the way. You'll also get an opportunity to raid Russian farmhouses in search of terrorist leaders, disguise yourself as the enemy, and, in one sequence, don a brushlike ghillie suit and crawl through the brush as enemy troops and tanks roll right past you. It's a breathtaking moment in a campaign filled with breathtaking moments. Unfortunately, it's about half as long as the average shooter, and there are plenty of sequences where you wish there were just one or two more hills to take.

Of course, if you're looking for longevity, that's where the multiplayer comes in. Up to 18 players can get online and get into a match on one of 16 different maps. Many of the levels are taken from portions of the single-player and they offer a healthy mix of wide-open, sniper-friendly areas and tight, almost cramped spaces where grenades and shotguns are the order of the day. There are six game modes to choose from. The old standby is team deathmatch, though you can also play in a free-for-all deathmatch, which isn't as much fun as the team modes. The other modes are more objective-oriented, and a couple of those have you lugging bombs across the map to blow up enemy equipment, or preventing the enemy from blowing up your base. Others have you capturing control points. Lastly, you can change up the game rules a bit with a hardcore setting that makes weapons more realistically damaging or an old-school mode that puts weapons on the ground as pickups and generally moves away from the simulation side of things.

In this DLC pack, the player will join the ranks of the Brotherhood of Steel and rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave remnants once and for all.

In addition to amending the main quest to let players continue their adventures after the end of the main quest and raising the level cap to 30, Broken Steels quest line is of the same length as the ones of Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt. In order to access the new story content from Broken Steel, the player has to have finished the main storyline from the base game. However, the level cap expansion will take effect upon installation of the DLC, so players previously stalled at level 20 will once again accumulate XP even if they havent finished the main storyline.

Broken Steel also adds a couple of new side quests, most of which have to do with escorting freshly processed clean water across the Wasteland and protecting it from Raiders. Broken Steel takes about five hours to complete and side missions could take up to an hour to finish.

The third DLC for Fallout 3 adds new enemies including Albino Radscorpions, Feral Ghoul Reavers, Super Mutant Overlords and Enclave Hellfire Troopers. These are equipped with new armor and weaponry which the player can acquire. Broken Steel also adds several new perks to cover the additional 10 levels as well as new encounters.

The players action throughout Fallout 3 is woven into some of the quests in Broken Steel. For example, if the player decides to infect Project Purity with the modified FEV, it will affect how the Capital Wasteland looks as well as the interactions with the local inhabitants.

StarCraft: Brood War is an expansion pack for the award winning military science fiction real-time strategy video game StarCraft. The expansion pack introduced new campaigns with new map tilesets and new music, in addition to a number of extra units for each race along with several upgrade advancements.
